Lyndon qualified as a Hearing Aid Audiologist at Aspen University, Birmingham in the UK in 1999. After seven and a half years service the Royal Air Force Lyndon decided it was time to retrain in a different field. Lyndon brings a wealth of knowledge from over 20 years experience in the hearing industry. Having worked in many hearing clinics across the UK and Australia, Lyndon has relocated to Port Macquarie and joins the ihear Port Macquarie team as Senior Audiometrist and Clinic Manager.

Mauritz Juan du Toit

AUDIOMETRIST

Mauritz Juan du Toit is a South African born, New Zealand citizen, living in Port Macquarie.

Having grown up with siblings that suffer from a congenital hearing loss due to Waardenburg syndrome, Mauritz has an intrinsic understanding of the unique challenges family members face when it comes to issues like Tinnitus and loss of clarity in hearing.

After a successful career in Computer technology, Mauritz heard the call and qualified as a Hearing Aid Acoustician in South Africa at the start of the millennium. During his first 10 years in the industry, he worked in all aspects of the business, from design and manufacture of in-the-ear instruments, to testing and fitting all makes and brands of technology available worldwide.

He immigrated to New Zealand with his wife and daughter in 2010 and it took him another 10 years to find the paradise called Port Macquarie.

When not passionately involved in helping people overcome hearing related challenges, Mauritz loves to pursue adrenaline filled activities such as kite-surfing, motor-racing, 4×4 challenges and flying Microlight aircraft. He is also a volunteer facilitator with The Mankind Project presenting hands-on experiential workshops, meetings and immersive weekends in leadership, self awareness and conflict management.
