Ray Angus

Audiologist

Ray Angus is an Audiologist with 20 years experience in a variety of fields in audiology within Australia and overseas in England and Ireland.

Ray completed both a Science and an Audiology degree at the University of Queensland. He started his career at Sydney’s Children Hospital (Prince of Wales] doing both Pediatrics and adult diagnostic testing for ENT’s.  He then worked for a government organisation, Australian Hearing, providing rehabilitation for adults and school age children.

After a couple of years of working in Australia, Ray then went overseas and worked in the NHS in England and Ireland again specializing in fitting the best hearing aid for each individual client. On his return he worked for a leading hearing aid manufacturer providing training and audiological support for other clinicians throughout Australia. During his time with them, Ray oversaw the setup of a hearing aid clinic at the University of Queensland for students studying their masters in Audiology, enabling them to have real life work experiencing while studying.

Twelve years ago Ray moved to the Sunshine Coast with his family to work in private practice. Recently Ray joined iHear Caloundra to work in his preferred field of adult rehabilitation audiology. Working for iHear has given Ray the opportunity to be involved in the Starkey Foundation. The Starkey Foundation Goal is to donate and fit more than 100000 hearing aids each year to hearing impaired people in developing countries. Ray was also impressed by iHear’s ethos of the client comes first.

Letitia Vion

Clinician

Letitia began working within the hearing profession as a receptionist over seven years ago.  During that time, she developed a great admiration for her Audiologist colleague, who was passionate about providing people with the best hearing health care and changing people’s lives through the ability to improve their hearing.  Seeing such positive impacts Letitia was inspired to further her education, and graduated as a qualified Audiometrist in 2019.  As a Sunny Coast local, Letitia feels honoured to be helping ihear clients from the Sunshine Coast region all the way up to the beautiful Fraser Coast.  Letitia strives to achieve a Gold Standard of Care and believes her role includes educating people on their hearing loss, understanding the benefits of hearing devices and how best to use them.  Letitia is bilingual, fluently speaking both English and French, and having spent her childhood between both Australia and France she feels she has an even deeper appreciation for the ability to communicate well.
