For the past 19 year she has performed both diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology on patients of all ages. For the past 9 years she has been working with ihear Toowoomba, where she has been able to further her passion for helping her patients to hear the world better.
“Helping someone hear better is more than just fitting a hearing aid, it changes their life. The ear is a sensor that is being used 24 hours per day, 7 days a week to monitor our environment. Unlike the eye, the ear gets no rest and is therefore imperative that the ear is functioning as best as possible. Hearing has an impact on our social, emotional and financial status” says Marguerite.
That is why she finds being an Audiologist is such a privilege and this passionate belief is shared by the other clinicians at ihear Toowoomba.
One of Marguerite’s personal goals for 2016 is to deliver the best Audiological service to the Darling Downs area, whilst raising 3 small children and to extend herself to philanthropic work with the Starkey Hearing Foundation. She says, “while I get a warm fuzzy out of my job on a daily basis, I now think it is time to give to those who are not as lucky as we are here in the Darling Downs”. Marguerite intends to travel to mission in PNG and South East Asia with the Foundation this year.
